Previously released fixes also included in this PTF:
MF71742/MF71743
   01/16/26

  • Fixed an issue where using the GUI to set the password for a system in "Pending Authentication - Password Updates Required" state was wrongly setting the password with trailing and leading single quotes.
  • Fixed the Refresh selection drop down on the Performance dashboard GUI.
  • Fixed an issue that caused several dconf related warning messages to be displayed when running the asmmenu command.
  • Fixed an issue where a user could not log in to the GUI due to an expired password on the day their password was set to expire.
  • Fixed an issue that caused SRC E3CA0262 to be called home and prevented a user from updating system firmware for multiple managed systems at the same time when USB is selected as the repository.
  • Fixed an issue where the HMC IP address did not get updated in the RMC information after the HMC IP address was changed which prevented the HMC from being able to establish RMC sessions with partitions.
  • Fixed an issue preventing data replication of user profile session settings.
  • Fixed an issue that can cause the lshmc -n command to fail with the error java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException.  This failure occurs after the Media speed for the HMC network interface is configured on the GUI to 10000Mbps Full Duplex.
  • Fixed an issue where entering any number in the Size field on the GUI Partition -> Virtual storage -> Add Logical Volume page causes an Invalid number error to be displayed.  This issue occurs when the HMC language is set to a European language.
  • Fixed an issue that can cause the operation to turn performance data collection on or off to fail on the GUI with the error "System is not in operating or stand by state".  This issue occurs only for managed systems that have a serial number that contains an 'E' followed by all digits.
  • Fixed a timing issue that can cause some HMC operations to hang after entering a Capacity on Demand code on the HMC for a system that is also managed by NovaLink.
  • Fixed an issue where adding a comment to a serviceable event on the HMC adds the comment to the case but does not add it to the serviceable event.
  • Fixed an issue that can prevent serviceable events from partitions from being reported.
  • Fixed an issue that can cause hardware repair operations on an E1080 or E1180 server to take over 30 minutes and may cause the operation to hang on the GUI.
  • Addressed IBM semeru Java vulnerabilities: CVE-2025-53057 and CVE-2025-53066.
  • Addressed openssh vulnerability: CVE-2025-26465.
  • Addressed CWE-732 to correct permissions for configuration files.
  • Addressed sssd vulnerability: CVE-2025-11561.
  • Addressed libsoup vulnerabilities: CVE-2025-11021 and CVE-2025-4945.
