HMC V7.3.4.0 Service Pack 3

This package updates your HMC from HMC V7R3.4.0 or HMC V7R3.4.0 Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2 to HMC V7R3.4.0 Service Pack 3. You can also reference this package by APAR MB03019.

Installing MH01186 requires one of the following:

MH01097, the HMC V7R3.3.0 recovery image, plus MH01109, the upgrade to HMC V7R3.4.0.
MH01147, the HMC V7R3.4.0 recovery image.
MH01097, the HMC V7R3.3.0 recovery image, plus MH01109 (the upgrade to HMC V7R3.4.0), plus MH01163, the HMC V7R3.4.0 SP1 upgrade image.

This package includes the following enhancements and fixes:

Fixed a problem where unchecking the "Managed System and Power LIC" check box during the "Change Licensed Internal Code Wizard" will not stop the managed system and power code from getting installed when the user is electing to install only I/O microcode.
mksysplan may fail with an inventory gathering error when the target managed system contains virtual ethernet adapters that support virtual switches.
Disabled DLPAR operation attempts on a migrating partition.
Fixed an active partition mobility auto-recovery problem.
Fixed a problem where the HMC stopped collecting utilization sampling in systems with a large number of LPARS.
Fixed an issue where activation of a partition would fail with "HSCL145A: The minimum memory amount is below the required amount of memory with the maximum specified.

Repair and Verify fixes for Power 570, 575 and 595 servers (POWER6-based technology)

Changed the wording on the disconnect service processor cable panel to indicate that the entire cable should not be disconnected, only the connection to the service processor being replaced should be disconnected.
Fixed an issue with systems containing HEA adapters, where a CCM hot node operation is performed and fails with AIX error message: "0931-029 the specified slot contains a device or devices that are currently configured. Unconfigure the following device or devices with the rmdev command and try again."

Known issues

If the HMC is upgraded from 3.4.1 or earlier releases, a messages "/dump/hsc_install.images/images/postinstall: line 283: /opt/hsc/bin/postLdapInstall: No such file or directory" might appear on the screen during the installation. This is because the postLdapInstall script is used before it is installed and does not affect the functionality of the HMC.
